Summary: A peaceful roguelite deckbuilder inspired by the Heian era and featuring centuries of classical Japanese art.
Worlds Upon The Wind is a friend and former coworker’s passion project, set in a fantasy world inspired by Heian(-ish) Japan (794–1185). After a disaster shatters the world into thousands of floating islands (“shards”), the surviving remnants of humanity must rebuild and find a way to restore the land to the way it was before.
The game designer had the narrative fully fleshed out, but even the best draft needs a second pair of eyes in order to catch problems, weaknesses, or potential sources of confusion—and everyone has moments when they get stuck, or aren’t sure if what they’ve written is the best way to convey what they want to say. Keep reading to see some of the places where I offered suggestions on ways to clarify plot points or character details.
